Employment
Girls Place is currently accepting applications for employment in the after school program. Applicants are wanted on a part time basis working with 4th and 5th graders. Requirements are as follows:
- Employee will be solely responsible for a group of 15 fourth and fifth graders and must plan and implement activities with this age group; emphasis is placed on homework completion and academic success
- Available Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from 1:30-6:00 and Wednesdays from 12:15-6:00
- Committed through the end of the school year (June 2012) including some full time hours during Alachua County school holidays (including winter break, teacher workdays and spring break)
- Must be at least 18 years old and be fingerprinted and background checked
- Previous experience working with this age group will be helpful
- University of Florida Students who qualify for Federal Work Study are strongly encouraged to apply (please note that you qualify for FWS on the application)
- Please note that Girls Place is open on holidays and must staff appropriately; therefore, college students must be committed to work at Girls Place through their school holidays as well.
